Hey, I’ve added a sale section to my shop. The quiet winter months are for designing and sketching away and looking at Pinterest and feeling overwhelmingly inspired and for sipping hot drinks and making prototypes aren’t they?
Hum, well, for small creative businesses, January and February are also often made for the not-so-fun work of doing inventories and organizing and reorganizing. And wondering if you’re doing all that stuff right.
So here! Feel free to browse my discounted designs which are handcrafted by yours truly mostly from recycled vinyl records. I’ve posted a few photos of what’s available at the moment of writing. These items are either from past collections or have some very minor defects … which, really, makes them even more special. Huh?

I’m definitely a sucker for copper. Don’t get me wrong; I do wear my gold and silver designs but I have to admit that copper is my favorite of the 3 metallic tones. I like making the copper designs, I like photographing them and I like wearing them. They are also easier to photograph than the silver and gold designs for some reason, thus almost bringing joy to the sometimes strenuous photo sessions.
Could it be the warmth of copper that I find so comforting during the cold winter months? That coppery tone also works so well with the surrounding environment. The south west of Ireland can be pretty coppery -and wet of course- in the wintertime. I doubt it is a subconscious effort to match my environment. In the end it’s a personal preference innit?
The fiery copper against the black of the vinyl record does come alive as soon as the light hits it, as it dangle on a long, or shorter chain. And did you know that the backs of the necklaces are left untouched so you can appreciate the vinyl record grooves?
More of my handcrafted vinyl record jewelry designs in black and copper, as well as silver and gold are available in my online shop. Because you’re worth it. I’ve heard them saying it in the ads.
*Super Yay!* My vinyl record and silver metallic foil pendant has made it to the finals of the Uncommon Goods Jewelry Design Contest. Voting is still open and you can give me the thumbs up here: http://www.uncommongoods.com/voting/product/58587/vinyl-record-nugget-pendant . At this point voting is just for fun as the judges will be the ultimate deciders on which design will be represented by Uncommon Goods. Wish me luck! ————–

It’s autumn and the weather can get quite nasty around here. Today was a cold and windy and grey day, which probably influenced my picks, in hot vibrant red. You will find the links to these gorgeous handcrafted accessories right here:
